Overview

As a Warehouse Team Member specializing in forklift operation within our food manufacturing company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and safe movement of materials and products within our warehouse and/or manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials as per organizational requirements, including carrying out pre-operational checks and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, perform periodic physical counts, and report discrepancies or shortages.
  • Support warehouse operations by picking, packing, labeling, and collaborating with teammates for timely task completion.
  • Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage or contamination, adhering to food safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
  • Work flexibility, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or similar production environment (preferred).
  • Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and to obtain forklift certification.
Working Conditions

Work involves daily exposure to dust, fumes, odors, poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal weather elements and mechanical hazards such as forklifts, chemicals, electrical equipment, and fire risks are present. The position requires standing, walking, lifting, and fine dexterity throughout the shift.
