Job SummaryMicron is seeking a highly motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment in their assigned area. This position requires collaboration with the Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors to ensure efficient tool performance and maintenance in a dynamic, brand-new technology and manufacturing environment. Equipment Maintenance Technicians support fabrication processing at the forefront of innovation for the world’s leading memory and storage solution provider, Micron Technology.

- Collaborate with team members to identify preventative maintenance needs for manufacturing equipment and resolve safety concerns.
- Identify performance gaps and implement strategic improvements, documenting hardware and process deviations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cleanroom area following housekeeping protocols.
- Participate in teams focused on enhancing equipment availability and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Attend Micron and/or vendor training to improve understanding of semiconductor tools.
- Stand for long periods, walk several miles per shift, lift 25–40 lbs occasionally, and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, or kneeling in confined spaces.
- Maintain situational awareness to identify hazards and consistently wear required PPE (e.g., respirators, cleanroom garments).
- Lead projects related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and improvement, meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Robotics, or related technical field, or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, or technical military experience.
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Two years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Two years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix and resolve manufacturing equipment issues.
- Four or more years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.
- Four or more years of experience leading projects related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and improvement, meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
