At Bigelow Tea, quality is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler to support our production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials and finished products are moved, stored, and tracked accurately. This role is essential to keeping production running efficiently while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect.
What You'll Do- Safely transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Stage materials to support production schedules and keep work areas stocked for upcoming shifts.
- Receive, store, and accurately document incoming materials and inventory transactions.
- Pull, load, and ship customer orders and intercompany transfers.
- Operate forklifts, RF scanners, and computer-based inventory systems.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
- Complete required documentation, including receiving reports, forklift inspections, shipping logs, and inventory records.
- Return unused materials from production and ensure finished goods are accurately ticketed and entered into inventory.
- Build product displays and support warehouse and production operations as needed.
- Cross-train to support other warehouse and facility functions.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety & Quality requirements, and company safety policies.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but we will provide training for qualified candidates.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
