Ice Cream Filler Operator

SHIFT:

• Day or Swing Shift, Monday to Friday. Subject to change based on business needs.

The Filler Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of filling and packaging equipment to ensure the proper handling, labeling, and storage of ice cream products. This position is critical in maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.

• Operate and monitor ice cream filler machinery and related packaging equipment
• Ensure product, packaging, and labels match production specifications
• Perform regular quality checks for fill weight, seal integrity, date coding, and packaging appearance
• Document all quality and production information accurately and on time
• Perform equipment changeovers and basic troubleshooting
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams
• Participate in daily cleaning, sanitation, and production setup as needed
• Support continuous improvement and adherence to food safety regulations

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prior experience in food or dairy manufacturing preferred, particularly in filler operation or packaging roles

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
• Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Team-oriented and dependable with a strong work ethic

• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational or business needs.
