Assembly Technician – Trailer Manufacturing
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling flatbed and panel trailers using basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills. You will work with hand and power tools, follow blueprints, and perform general production tasks to ensure each trailer meets quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble flatbed and panel trailers according to specifications and production schedules.
- Perform basic electrical assembly tasks on trailers, following diagrams and instructions.
- Complete basic plumbing assembly work, including routing and securing lines and components.
- Carry out mechanical assembly using hand and power tools to install and secure parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate assembly.
- Use measuring tapes and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and alignment.
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and completeness, making adjustments as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines throughout the assembly process.
- Collaborate with team members and production staff to meet daily output and quality targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
- Adapt to working in different areas of the plant as production needs change.
- Proven ability to perform mechanical assembly work in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly tasks.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assembly.
- Solid math skills to perform measurements and basic calculations.
- Ability to use a measuring tape accurately for precise measurements.
- Capability to perform basic electrical and plumbing assembly tasks.
- Willingness and physical ability to perform general labor duties in a manufacturing setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in trailer, automotive, or equipment assembly environments.
- Comfort working with multiple types of materials and components in a production line setting.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a large manufacturing plant that includes both indoor and outdoor work areas. The environment can be humid and may become hot, especially in sections that are not temperature controlled. While some areas of the facility have climate control, the primary assembly areas do not. You will work a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, contributing to a predictable schedule.
The role involves regular use of hand and power tools, standing for extended periods, and moving between different parts of the plant as production requires.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
