Electronics Assembly & Hand Solder Technician

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Electronics Assembly & Hand Solder Technician for a long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer. If you have experience with PCB assembly, hand soldering, or electronic components and enjoy precision work, this could be the perfect fit.
Schedule & PayPay: $18.00/hour
Hours:
Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (30 minute break)
Overtime available on Fridays when business needs require it (mandatory when scheduled)
What You'll DoAs an Electronics Assembly & Hand Solder Technician, you'll assemble, inspect, and test electronic products while ensuring every component meets strict quality standards. You'll work with printed circuit boards, electronic components, and specialized equipment to help produce reliable, high-quality products.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Perform precision hand soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Assemble through-hole electronic components and verify proper placement.
- Set up and operate Pick & Place (SMT) equipment.
- Prepare electronic components by cutting, bending, and forming leads.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rework assemblies as needed.
- Read assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform quality inspections and document production results.
- Maintain soldering equipment, SMT machines, and a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with hand soldering and electronics assembly.
- Experience with through-hole assembly and PCB work preferred.
- Pick & Place (SMT) machine experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards preferred.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and basic schematics.
- Strong manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Stand or sit for up to 10-hour shifts.
- Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Frequently bend, twist, push, and pull materials.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and soldering fumes.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all workplace safety procedures.
