Duty Description – Metal Fabricator

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel components with attention to detail and weld quality.
• Cut and grind stainless steel using tools such as grinders, and saws.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, and job orders.
• Conduct inspections of finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Follow company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Operate press brake to bend and form sheet metal components to precise dimensions.
• Use waterjet to accurately cut stainless steel parts based on CAD files and specifications.

• Proven experience in metal fabrication, preferred experience with stainless steel.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Experience with operating press brakes and waterjet cutting machines is preferred.

The machine shop is a high-risk environment where safety is critical. All personnel must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toe shoes. Loose clothing, jewelry, and long hair must be secured to prevent entanglement in machinery.

Before operating any equipment, users must be properly trained and authorized. Machines should never be left running unattended, and emergency stops must always be accessible. Regular maintenance and inspections help ensure equipment remains in safe working condition.

Cleanliness and organization are essential—keep walkways clear and promptly clean up spills to prevent slips and trips. Always follow posted safety signs and procedures and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately.

By staying alert and following proper safety protocols, injuries can be prevented and a safe working environment maintained for all.

• Must be able to lift 25 LBS multiple times a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 LBS on occasion.
• Must be able to stand at least 80% of the day.
