Media & Digital Outreach Assistant
Boise State University (remote/hybrid flexible)
Part‑Time | 5–10 hours/week | $20/hour
Dr. Troy Rohn (Biological Sciences) is seeking a motivated student to assist with media outreach and digital support for the upcoming nonfiction book Brain Medicine (Hatherleigh Press).
Responsibilities- Research podcasts, media outlets, and speaking opportunities
- Draft and send outreach emails (templates provided)
- Track contacts and responses
- Draft and schedule posts for Instagram and Facebook
- Update book‑related content on the author's website
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Interest in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or digital media
- Comfortable with social media platforms and basic website editing
- Interest in science or mental health is a plus
This role offers hands‑on experience in book publicity and science communication.
