About Us
We're building the next major player in the explosive Ready-to-Drink (RTD) and canned cocktail space, backed by top-tier investors, an experienced beverage team, partners with a track record of cultural impact, and a high-profile celebrity partner. This is not just another vanity brand. It's a disruptive, culture-forward beverage company blending best-in-class flavor, storytelling, and star power into a breakout consumer experience.
The RoleWe're hiring a fractional Head of PR & Communications to build and drive earned media and cultural buzz as we launch. You'll own the story that gets us covered by the trade, talked about by drinkers, and amplified across pop culture: press strategy, media relations, and launch publicity across both beverage/RTD trade and consumer/entertainment outlets. You'll be the right hand to the COO and co-founders on all things communications.
You'll have direct relationships with editors and reporters across the beverage and RTD trade, and you'll coordinate closely with our high-profile celebrity partner's team, plus marketing, sales, and the founders. This is an approximately a 3-6 month launch engagement with a path to an ongoing retainer for the right partner. The exact weekly time commitment and final scope will be finalized with the selected partner.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and own a 3-6-month PR strategy for the launch, and provide ongoing strategic counsel on specific initiatives and activations
- Build tailored media lists and run outreach across U.S. beverage and RTD trade media; generate 1 to 2 focused pitches per month
- Organize trade media sampling, including bottle and press-kit send outs
- Draft and distribute press releases and media alerts (up to two per cycle), develop media messaging, and craft press materials as needed
- Ideate launch activations, programming, and partnerships for the trade and trade media
- Coordinate the celebrity partner's media moments in partnership with their team, amplifying their channels rather than duplicating them
- Host and staff media at launch-focused events (media hosting and a small number of media-facing events)
- Deliver reporting: real-time coverage links, weekly clip round-ups, and monthly reports
- Run a consistent client cadence: bi-weekly calls on focus areas, goals, upcoming placements, feedback, and asset/information needs, plus planning and brainstorm calls as needed
- Manage inbound press, interview scheduling, and spokesperson prep
- Be the connective tissue between the brand, its celebrity partner, and the media
- Beverage, spirits, or lifestyle PR experience required. Experience bridging beverage and entertainment/pop culture strongly preferred.
- 5+ years in public relations, communications, or earned media. Agency or in-house launch experience strongly preferred.
- Deep, active relationships across U.S. beverage and RTD trade media that you can activate quickly; consumer and lifestyle contacts a plus
- Hands-on experience with celebrity- or talent-driven campaigns and coordinating with talent publicists
- Fluent in the full PR toolkit: media strategy, pitching, press releases and kits, sampling programs, event/media hosting, and coverage reporting
- Excellent writer and storyteller. You can turn a brand into a headline.
- Startup-minded: scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable delivering big, earned results on a tight budget
- Clear communicator. Comfortable with ambiguity. Take ownership without being asked twice.
- Available to start ahead of the August launch
- Competitive monthly contract fee
- Path to an ongoing communications retainer for the right partner
- Direct exposure to founders, investors, and a high-profile celebrity partner
- Early communications seat at a category-defining brand
