Social Media Marketing Assistant

This is a part-time (30 hrs/week), $23/hour position.

• Maintain, develop, and execute all social media activity for smartbar, with a distinct and appropriate voice that complements our family of venue brands
• Maintain the smartbar content calendar to manage day-to-day social campaigns, content, and show announcements across Instagram, Threads, Tik Tok, Youtube, X, and other relevant platforms
• Create original video and social content that promotes upcoming events, merch, artists, and the overall smartbar experience
• Work closely with the Marketing Director to create weekly smartbar newsletters, as well as targeted and segmented email campaigns when needed
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute promotional contests, incentives, giveaways, and other audience engagement initiatives across social platforms
• Work closely with the Art Director to identify and secure all necessary artwork and assets for timely social posts, emails, and promotional content
• Capture and organize photo/video assets from events, maintaining smartbar's library of content for future social, marketing, and promotional use
• Work closely with the Marketing Director and Art Director to implement new branded initiatives and guidelines while maintaining consistency across smartbar and the broader family of venues
• Assist the Marketing Director with marketing plans, ad spends, and paid social campaigns, including providing creative, copy, targeting recommendations, campaign assets, and performance insights
• Further assist with general marketing projects and administrative tasks as needed, including event listing creations (Resident Advisor + Facebook), website updates (wordpress), partnerships and other campaigns, as necessary

• A passion for dance music and knowledge of its various genres and history, along with an eagerness to learn more
• 2-3 years experience with content creation and management for a brand, organization, artist, venue, or other public facing identity
• Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, Email Marketing Platforms (Mailchimp), Canva, and Content Management Platforms. Basic Graphic Design and Word Press knowledge a plus
• Strong understanding of working within branded templates and adhering to established brand guidelines, with the ability to develop new content and templates within said guides
• Experience in creating short form video content for Tik Tok, Instagram, Youtube, and other emerging platforms
• Experience with project management with strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects both independently and within a team environment
• Clear and concise writing skills are essential, with emphasis on creative social copy
• Strong knowledge and understanding of social media analytics and data to strengthen social strategies, while staying up to date on platform updates and current trends
• Must be efficient and organized with using G-Suite and Slack for task delegation, team communication and updates
• General understanding of smartbar's history, community, and cultural impact
