We are seeking an organized, ministry-focused Associate Pastor to join our ministry team. Located in beautiful Boise, Idaho, our congregation of more than 300 members is an active and welcoming church with a heart for spiritual growth, community, and service. Our church campus includes an elementary school, a community center with a food pantry, and dozens of active ministries serving our congregation and the surrounding community.
Aboutthe Role
The Associate Pastor will work closely with church leadership, members, and ministry leaders to strengthen the overall ministry of the church. This role will have a particular emphasis on small groups, Bible studies, ministry support, and church administration.
The ideal candidate will be both spiritually minded and organized- a leader who enjoys working with people, sharing the Gospel, and helping ministries succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with church leadership to support the mission, vision, and overall health of the church.
- Work alongside ministry leaders and volunteers to help ministries plan effectively, overcome challenges, and accomplish their goals.
- Coordinate and support small groups and Bible studies.
- Building meaningful relationships with church members and helping individuals and families become connected to the life of the church.
- Provide administrative and organizational support as needed.
- Assist with pastoral responsibilities, worship services, visitation, and other ministry needs as appropriate.
- Commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist Church ministry and the mission of the local church.
- Experience working in church leadership and ministry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with lead pastor, staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.
- Master’s degree in Divinity, Religious studies, or a related field.
- Experience leading or developing small groups and Bible studies.
- Experience in ministry coordination and working with volunteers.
