ResponsibilitiesThe LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, ensuring smooth, organized, and efficient operation under the direction of the registered nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of nursing care, demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships, and fulfilling hospital responsibilities while developing clinical expertise per specialty.
Required Skills- Valid, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor.
- IV certification.
- Preferred:
One year of clinical experience in a health‑care setting. - Preferred:
Three years of medical/surgical experience. - Preferred:
One year of area‑specific experience. - Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
