Description:
The position requires a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse who can hit the ground running. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a dominant focus on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Candidates must have strong experience in various surgical procedures, including robotics and endoscopy. The average number of cases per day is approximately eight. The team consists of both Charge and Assistant Nurse Managers, and nurses are required to scrub during procedures.
All surgical personnel participate in cleaning and turnover of operating rooms. The electronic medical record system in use is Epic, and additional tools such as TDOC and Pro Vation are utilized for tracking instruments and endoscopic procedures. The schedule typically consists of Monday to Friday, with the possibility of evening and weekend call responsibilities. Weekend call requirements typically involve one full weekend per month, along with holiday call if applicable.
Call response times necessitate that on-call staff remain within 30 minutes of the facility. Scrub colors are blue, with scrubs provided according to surgical services attire policy. This position requires adaptability and commitment to high-quality patient care in a collaborative team environment.
