Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician‑led, 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join its employed team of 3 neonatologists and 6 NNPs.
Our 32‑bed Level III NICU in Boise provides a high level of care for 250+ infants annually, offering conventional ventilation, iNO, HFOV, and jet ventilation for very early preterm, late preterm, and term infants. The NICU serves families from Boise and surrounding Idaho and eastern Oregon.
Our 6‑bed Level II NICU in Nampa (15 miles west of Boise) is clinically integrated with the Birkeland Maternity Center, with an annual delivery rate of 1,000+ babies and is the only NICU in Canyon County.
We are committed to up-to-date, evidence‑based medicine and a family‑centered approach that encourages parents and staff to work together to achieve outcomes that exceed national benchmarks.
Responsibilities- Attend high‑risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions
- Co‑manage NICU patients with the attending neonatologist and site‑dependent well newborn nursery patients
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the neonatologist in the NICU, providing active management strategies such as nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review, and family updates
- Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner Program with current RN and APRN licensure; current national board certification as NNP desired. Physician Assistants with NICU training or a minimum of 3 years of experience in level III/IV NICU will also be considered
- Active DEA registration and controlled substance prescription authority
- Idaho medical licensure and privileging at SARMC Boise and SAMC Nampa
