Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

Unit Details:
Uses Epic. Nurse-patient ratios generally 1:5; 1:4 for neck dissections, facial reconstructions, and epilepsy patients. Nurse aide/patient care tech ratio 1:08. Patient population includes orthopedic total joints and traumatic fractures; ENT cases including thyroid surgeries, lap nissens, neck dissections with implanted dopplers and 30-minute doppler checks, and trachs; facial reconstructions;
Graves disease eye surgeries; ED and ICU transfers; sepsis patients; high-flow O2 patients; pediatric overflow including pneumonia, orthopedic surgeries, and some behavioral patients; general Med Surg patients including appys, choles, pneumonia, and COPD; and epilepsy monitoring patients. Pediatric overflow patients must qualify for adult ACLS weight-wise; no pediatric medication dosing. Includes 3 epilepsy beds with EEG and video monitoring; these patients usually admit Monday after stopping seizure medications the day before and typically discharge by Thursday, and are generally not assigned to travelers unless requested.

Common set-rate drips include heparin. Cares for patients on high flow oxygen and home-regimen CPAP and BiPAP patients who are not daytime dependent.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekends as needed. Holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements:
Will float to like units on floors 4, 5, 6, and 9; generally will not take specialty patients on these floors. May also float to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center to Med Surg floors only.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
