CNA​/Nursing Assistant​/Nurse Apprentice - Surgical Short Stay Unit

Job Overview

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join our Surgical Short Stay Unit. This position works on a 12‑hour day shift (0700‑1930) on the Surgery Short Stay Unit at our regional center off I‑184 and Curtis Rd. You will care for patients requiring additional observation for chest pains or outpatient status.

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient‑service coordination tasks.
• Provide nursing‑care services and related non‑professional services mandated for Certified Nursing Assistants or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel under the supervision of licensed nurses.

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho.
• Or maintain an up‑to‑date Nurse Apprentice record with the Idaho State Board of Nursing, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Mandated Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network at hire.
• Mandatory Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) not required unless currently certified.
• Preferred:
  Minimum six months experience as a CNA in an acute‑care setting.
