Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Medical Solutions Plus Program
- St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program:
Medical Solutions Plus Program
- St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/

Experience:

- Will accept Med-Surg travelers without oncology/chemo experience, but must have 2 years of experience.

- Must be able to respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms.

Preferred Skills/

Experience:

- BMT and chemo experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

- Oncology certification preferred.

Special Requests:

- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

- For night shift, block scheduling may be tried when possible, but travelers are expected to be flexible and fill in the schedule.

Unit Details:

- Uses Epic.

- Cares for BMT, oncology, gynecologic oncology surgery, hospice, and med-surg patients.

- Takes some higher-acuity patients than general med-surg units.

- No titratable drips; pain medication drips/PCAs are used.

- Equipment includes CPAP and high flow.

- Tele techs available.

- Dedicated charge nurse on each shift does not take patients.

- CNA support at 1:8.

Shift & Scheduling:

- Weekends as needed.

- Holiday rotation required.

- No call.

Floating Requirements:

- Travelers are first to float to like med-surg units within their scope at the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa St. Luke’s campuses.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
