Full-Time Means Full-Time

This program is prioritizing CRNAs prepared to make the assignment a consistent part of their schedule.

Candidates should be available for full-time weekly coverage rather than intermittent monthly travel or occasional blocks.

In return, the assignment provides:
40 guaranteed hours each week.
Schedules can incorporate a combination of:

• 8-hour shifts
• 10-hour shifts
• 12-hour shifts

Exact scheduling is determined by the anesthesia team

Clinical Practice
This is a substantial hospital-based anesthesia practice with trauma comprising a significant portion of the clinical environment.
The Boise practice includes:

• 17 main operating rooms
• 7 additional surgical-center rooms
• Cath lab
• Endoscopy
• Radiology
• Additional procedural environments

The patient population spans adolescent through geriatric patients, with more than 90% of patients over age 12.

Boise operates within a Level II Trauma environment, while the Nampa hospital operates as a Level III Trauma Center.

Blocks & Procedures

CRNAs should be comfortable with the clinical expectations of a high-volume hospital anesthesia practice.

For regional anesthesia:
CRNAs perform spinal blocks.

Regional anesthesia is not required/performed by locum CRNAs.
That distinction creates an attractive procedural profile for CRNAs who want broad hospital and trauma anesthesia without an extensive regional-block requirement.

Call Expectations
Candidates must be willing to participate in call coverage.
Current expectations include approximately:

• One weeknight call per month
• One weekend call per month

Call willingness must be confirmed when presented for consideration.

Long-Term Locums Runway
This isn't limited to a short coverage window.

Locum CRNAs may work for up to 12 consecutive months, followed by a required six-month break, after which they may return for another 12-month period.
