Coordinates and maintains all the functions and duties relating to surgical supplies, implants, and equipment. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improves patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates the daily flow of supplies and equipment and all procurement activities for the operating room
• Coordinates and maintains functions relating to all consignment supplies, equipment, and special order items.
• Utilizes critical thinking and maintains responsibility for the knowledge relating to job functions.
• Coordinates the loan and borrowing of equipment and supplies.
• Maintains open communication with physicians, OR staff, sales representatives, Purchasing Department and other facility departments.
• Provides input for operational and capital budgets.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and coordinates equipment and instrument repair.
• Plans for future department need of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Consistently delivers high quality care demonstrating knowledge and skills of job role in accordance with established policies and procedures of the department and health system.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities, objective and open to other's views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of team above own interest.

• Performs functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances.
• Adheres to all departmental and health system policies.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position.

• Completion of Surgical Tech Program
• One year Surgical Tech experience preferred.
