Job Description

Company Description BRC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, the main clinical facility of Boise Residential Care, provides comprehensive mental health services in a structured and supportive environment. The organization operates two 12-bed residential sober living homes for adults with serious mental health diagnoses, traumatic brain injuries, and substance or alcohol use disorders. Clients receive 24/7 awake staff support for activities of daily living, medication assistance, supervision, meals, snacks, and help connecting with other providers and services.

The facilities offer comfortable housing with utilities, Wi-Fi, cable, and furnishings, along with daily classes, groups, and activities that combine treatment with a welcoming, social environment. Services include psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, medication management, behavioral health assessments, skills training, crisis intervention, and substance use treatment.
Role Description This is a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role at BRC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, with flexibility to choose days and times. This is an on-site position located in Boise,  Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, and perform therapeutic or diagnostic injections as needed. Responsibilities include developing and updating individualized treatment plans, collaborating with licensed clinicians, case managers, and peer support specialists, and documenting all care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.

The practitioner will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, provide psychoeducation to clients and caregivers, support crisis intervention efforts, and contribute to a safe, recovery-oriented residential and day treatment environment.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing, including assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation.
  • Training and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, with demonstrated experience or interest in psychiatric and behavioral health settings.
  • Competence in Mental Health Care and Psychiatric Care, including medication management, risk assessment, and crisis response.
  • Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner license in Idaho (or eligibility to obtain), with appropriate psychiatric certification preferred.
  • Master’s or higher degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness, TBI, and/or substance use disorders in residential or community-based settings is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team, maintain trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • Basic proficiency with electronic health records and comfort with maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation.
