Job SummaryMicron is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Incoming Materials Quality Technician to support material verification activities that protect our manufacturing processes and product quality. In this role, you will inspect, test, and validate incoming direct materials to ensure they meet Micron’s specifications and quality standards. You’ll work closely with procurement, engineering, facilities, production, and supplier quality teams to identify nonconforming materials, contain issues quickly, and maintain the integrity of our supply chain.
Responsibilities- Verify incoming materials for compliance with Micron specifications, inspection plans, and ISO/Quality Management System requirements.
- Review and validate vendor documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), escalating deviations and containing impacted materials as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, IQC, Engineering, Production) to investigate and resolve nonconforming material issues.
- Develop and improve inspection processes, testing methods, and quality controls for raw materials to ensure consistent standards.
- Analyze vendor data and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts in alignment with Micron practices.
- Support risk assessments for new materials and suppliers, assisting engineering teams in qualification activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date material specifications, quality plans, and procedures while coordinating with global supplier quality partners.
- Associate degree in a STEM related field (or equivalent trade school/military experience).
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience working in a laboratory or cleanroom environment.
- 2+ years of experience navigating and applying SAP functionalities to support business processes.
- Knowledge of Chemistry/Periodic Table.
- Demonstrates statistical knowledge and uses data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- 4+ years of experience navigating and applying SAP functionalities to support business processes.
