The Construction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a QA/QC Specialist in Boise, .

Under close supervision, the QA/QC Specialist performs a variety of duties and assignments in support of project‑specific and general quality‑related tasks. This position provides assistance to Quality Managers and senior QA/QC Specialists while working on assignments of moderate scope and complexity. Some evaluation, originality, and ingenuity are required. Interaction with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders may also be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Log and track submittals and RFIs from construction contractors.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of contractor monthly pay estimates, or review and submit contractor‑provided monthly invoices for payment.
  • Track, review, and prepare monthly project billings.
  • Review and organize pay notes submitted by inspectors.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project Material Test Summaries, including logging quality documentation received from inspectors, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Assist with reviewing, verifying, and preparing documentation for contractor‑requested materials‑on‑hand payments.
  • Track, log, and distribute shop drawings and other submittals from contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor EEO policy statements and subcontract requests.
  • Review and file all labor compliance documentation, including:
    • Certified payrolls from contractors and subcontractors.
    • Labor compliance interviews.
    • Commercially Useful Function (CUF) reports for DBEs.
  • Monitor applicable affirmative action programs for compliance.
  • Track contract schedules and deliverables.
  • Track materials testing and quantities.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of agendas for preconstruction conferences, attend and participate in conferences, and prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Review contract plans and specifications for roadway and bridge construction to verify contract requirements.
  • Inspect the quality of materials being placed and contractor construction methods for compliance with specifications.
  • Communicate actions taken to project inspectors, Project Managers, and other appropriate personnel.
  • Record and document weekly and other field meeting minutes.
  • Regularly sit for extended periods and use hands to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with client representatives, contractors, the public, peers, and supervisors.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize, and track construction and design issues through completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous office administration experience.
  • Previous finance or accounting‑related experience.
  • Experience with various software applications and file‑sharing platforms such as Dropbox.
  • Certification through the Idaho Transportation Department’s Inspector Qualification Program in Contract Administration. Candidates without additional certifications will be expected to obtain them within the first three months of employment.
