IT QA Tester / Automation, AI QA / Validation Engineer
Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Role
We're hiring a QA Engineer to own quality across our client and internal projects from marketing sites built in Framer to AI-powered web apps and traceability platforms. You'll do hands‑on manual testing, build out our automation coverage, and become the person the team trusts to say “this is ready to ship.” This is a high‑ownership role on a small team. You won’t be writing tickets in a vacuum – you'll work directly with designers, developers, and PMs, shape our QA process from the ground up, and influence how we build.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own end‑to‑end QA for client projects from Framer‑built marketing sites to AI products, dashboards, and Shopify apps.
- Write and execute test plans, test cases, and exploratory test sessions across web and mobile (iOS/Android browsers, responsive layouts, cross‑browser).
- Build and maintain an automation suite — UI tests with Playwright or Cypress, API tests with Postman/Newman or similar.
- Test AI‑powered features: prompt behaviour, output quality, edge cases, latency, fallback handling, and hallucination detection.
- Run regression cycles before every release and triage issues with clear, reproducible bug reports (steps, expected vs. actual, environment, severity).
- Validate integrations — payments, OTP/auth flows, CMS publishing, third‑party APIs, webhooks.
- Test traceability and data‑flow scenarios for enterprise clients (e.g., bale/bottle tracking across channels, KPI report exports).
- Set up and maintain staging environments, test data, and QA documentation in Notion/Linear.
- Partner with developers on CI/CD checks and shift testing left where it makes sense.
- 2–4 years of QA experience covering both manual and automation testing of web applications.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one automation framework — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Strong fundamentals: test case design, regression strategy, exploratory testing, bug triage.
- Comfort with API testing using Postman, REST clients, or scripted approaches.
- Working knowledge of browser Dev Tools, network debugging, and console‑level investigation.
- Ability to read code (JavaScript/Type Script preferred) well enough to understand what’s being tested and write automation scripts.
- Sharp eye for UX and visual regressions — you’ll be testing work from a design‑led studio.
- Clear written communication. Bug reports should make a developer’s life easier, not harder.
- Experience testing Framer or other no‑code/low‑code published sites.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM product testing — evaluating prompts, outputs, and non‑deterministic behaviour.
- Exposure to Shopify apps, Chrome extensions, or mobile (Test Flight/Play Console) QA.
- Performance and accessibility testing (Lighthouse, axe, WCAG basics).
- Experience setting up QA process in a small team or agency setting from scratch.
