Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer for a top engineering and infrastructure solutions client in the water and industrial sector. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring all project materials, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. They will play a key role in developing quality documentation, conducting inspections, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring project deliverables align with client expectations.
This individual will have strong experience in QA/QC processes, welding inspection, and international standards, and will be integral to maintaining high-quality execution across complex engineering projects.
- Develop and manage project quality documentation (ITPs, WPS, PQRs, MRBs, etc.)
- Conduct and coordinate inspections across materials, fabrication, welding, coating, and installation
- Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Review certificates, reports, and test documentation for compliance
- Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Lead and mentor QA/QC inspectors
- Support internal and external quality audits
- Participate in testing activities (hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak testing, etc.)
- Ensure all quality records are properly documented and submitted
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI)
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in semiconductor, wastewater, construction, fabrication, or EPC environments
- Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM, AWS, API, ISO standards
- Experience with quality management systems and documentation (ITPs, MRBs, NCRs, etc.)
- Hands‑on experience with inspections, testing, and material verification
- Ability to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and third‑party inspectors
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and reporting skills
- Experience with piping systems, structural steel, and pressure vessels
- Familiarity with NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT)
- Experience in ISO 9001 quality systems
- Background in fabrication and installation quality control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation tools
