Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician

$28.50 to $36.30 per hour

Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician to oversee operational excellence and installation standards for major technical initiatives. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in collaborative settings and performs hands-on tasks within fast-paced environments.

Primary Duties

  • Facilitate all QA/QC tasks throughout the equipment setup and operational phases.
  • Execute field inspections and evaluations using Lean methodology.
  • Act as the main point of contact for quality matters at designated locations to foster seamless team coordination.
  • Contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing installation quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct on-site quality audits and ensure documentation is correctly logged in internal systems.
  • Manage the distribution and review of quality checklists to ensure mechanical and electrical teams remain aligned.
  • Engage in quality reporting, auditing, and the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Utilize root cause analysis and Lean techniques to resolve quality discrepancies efficiently.
  • Provide guidance to installation crews to ensure consistent high-quality output.
  • Work with site management to establish and maintain rigorous quality benchmarks for contractors.
  • Identify quality deficiencies and suggest meaningful process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with service, installation, and quality departments to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical program completion or an Associate degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in a technical support or QA/QC capacity.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Background in manufacturing, field service, or construction environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English;
    Japanese language skills are an asset.
  • Competency in using measurement devices and various hand tools, such as torque wrenches.
  • Capacity to travel up to 25% of the time, with potential for international assignments.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving history.

Physical Demands

  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Ability to work in indoor clean-room settings and outdoor construction sites.

Work Environment

  • Potential exposure to electrical systems, mechanical machinery, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
  • Frequent collaboration with technical staff, contractors, and on-site field personnel.
