Main Responsibilities:

• Acts as auditor for quality results of Production Department
• Acts as point of contact for Production Supervisor and Engineering Manager regarding quality
• Performs product quality checks every two hours
• Performs hourly part checks
• Responsible for use/handling of quality measuring devices
• Responsible for accurate completion of quality paperwork
• Audits color and part checks
• Responsible for saving/scrapping decisions
• Owns “Red tag process” (marking product of questionable quality).
• Audits process set points
• Audits label and rate schedule
• Collects flex samples and performs flex testing
• Maintains standards for product quality-testing areas within plant

Qualifications:

• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred
• Experience with ISO
  9000/QS9000/TS16949 Quality Systems & Auditing, a plus
• Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mathematical abilities
• Must be able to accurately read quality measuring tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, square, and tape measure) - preferred
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures that can become very hot depending on the weather.
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Ability and interest in working a 12 hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in an environment that can become hot/cold (temperature) depending on the weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms;

climb stairs; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must individually lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
