• 8+ years of total Quality Control Inspection experience supporting:
• ASME B31 piping codes
• Industrial or commercial construction projects (semiconductor preferred)
• Fabrication and welding inspections
• Non-destructive testing (NDT)
• 3+ years of Supervisor/Managerial experience in related field
• Current certification in accordance with AWS QC1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), maintained in good standing.
• Experience inspecting specialty welding applications and plastic piping systems such as:
• Polypropylene (PP)
• Other specialty process piping materials
• Come from the GC or Subcontractor side (not owner QA or 3rd party experience)

• Experience inspecting carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-purity process piping systems
• OSHA 30, confined space, and first aid / CPR

The QA/QC Field Supervisor provides direct supervision of the QA/QC inspection personnel working across the projects and fabrication facilities in an assigned area. This is a field-based position: the work is done alongside the inspectors, on the projects, not from an office.

The position owns inspection coverage for the area — who is assigned where, whether the coverage matches the work, and whether the record produced will stand up. It sets expectations for inspection practice, develops the inspectors, and carries the quality authority to stop nonconforming work.

QA/QC Field Supervisor is the first supervisory level of the QA/QC ladder, above Inspector I, II, and III and below QA/QC Area Manager. Inspector III leads the inspection effort on a single project; the Field Supervisor is accountable across every project in the area and for the people doing the work.

• Supervise QA/QC Inspector I, II, and III personnel across the assigned area: set expectations for inspection practice and documentation, and hold the team to them.
• Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins with each direct report covering workload, findings, development, and certification status.
• Coach and develop inspectors toward the next level of the ladder, and onboard new inspectors to ACCO procedures, documentation standards, and site-specific requirements.
• Conduct documented performance discussions, provide written feedback, and recommend hiring, promotion, and corrective action.
• Verify that every inspector holds current certification, site badging, and required training before performing work, and act on expiry notifications before they lapse.

• Assign inspectors to projects and shops across the area based on scope, risk tier, required qualification, and schedule.
• Consolidate the QA/QC three-week look-ahead across the area's projects, and resolve or elevate any inspection demand with no inspector assigned.
• Maintain the manpower and capability record for the area, including certification expiry, site badging, travel availability, and sole-qualified positions.
• Forecast coverage needs ahead of demand and recommend requisitions in advance of need rather than in response to a gap.
• Identify where a process, code, or customer site depends on a single qualified individual, and build cross-training coverage to remove that dependency.
• Coordinate travel, lodging, and shift coverage for inspectors working away from their home location.

• Spend the majority of working time on project sites and in fabrication facilities within the assigned area.
• Conduct routine site and shop visits to verify compliance with ASME codes, project specifications, customer requirements, and ACCO QA/QC procedures.
• Participate directly in system walkdowns, hold-point inspections, pressure tests, first-in inspections, and turnover readiness reviews, and perform inspection directly where coverage requires it.
• Perform the QA/QC site walk and project health assessment on the schedule set by QA/QC leadership, and route findings with owners and due dates.

• Verify that a Quality Control Plan, Inspection and Test Plan, and hold-point matrix are issued and approved before mobilization on every project in the area.
