Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. The position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late- afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on individual training.
- Assist in the hiring process: recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, collaborating with management to ensure selection of qualified team members.
- Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfer, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and per procedure.
- Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly; refunds issued accurately using correct payment methods; returned merchandise processed or staged in returns area correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Ensure Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned.
- Ensure team members comply with company policies: adhere to posted work schedule, approvals for changes/deviations, clocking in/out accordingly.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties: day end procedures, verify/securing money/deposits per policy, prepare bank deposits as needed, ensure night security lights on, lock doors, secure building, arm/disarm security alarms, check/secure delivery vehicle(s).
- Assist the store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification;
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
