Promote trust and respect among associates;
Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued;
Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and store;
Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions;
Check product quality and maintain freshness; review sell-by dates;
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products;
Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager;
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines;
Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; keep temperature logs;
Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management;
Perform preventive maintenance and report items needing repair;
Notify management of customer or employee accidents;
Report safety risks and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
