We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead the global commercial strategy for a strategically critical semiconductor customer with long-term growth potential. This role serves as the primary commercial owner for a high-value account, accountable for executive-level relationships, sustained revenue growth, and expansion across regions, sites, and business units.

The Account Director partners closely with internal cross‑functional teams and senior customer stakeholders, managing complex, long‑cycle engagements in a highly matrixed, global environment.

Location: This is an on‑site position based in Boise, Idaho with regular travel expectations of 50-75%.

What You’ll Do Global Account Strategy & Customer Introduction
  • Develop and lead the global account strategy from initial engagement through long‑term expansion.
  • Own the end‑to‑end commercial relationship, with accountability for revenue growth and strategic alignment.
  • Build a deep understanding of the customer’s technology roadmap, manufacturing footprint, and decision‑making structure.
Executive & Multi‑Level Customer Engagement
  • Establish and manage relationships across executive leadership, engineering, procurement, and operations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating technical and commercial requirements into executable solutions.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long‑term supply agreements.
Cross‑Functional & Cross‑Site Execution
  • Act as the central point of coordination for the customer across internal sites, regions, and functions.
  • Drive internal alignment to ensure commitments are delivered across a global operating footprint.
  • Manage cross‑functional dependencies while maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
Technical & Commercial Leadership
  • Engage credibly with customer engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Partner with internal technical teams to align solutions with customer requirements and future roadmaps.
  • Balance technical feasibility, operational execution, and commercial outcomes.
Pipeline Management & Strategic Growth
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting and pipeline visibility for a strategic account.
  • Identify expansion opportunities across technologies, geographies, and business units.
  • Support long‑term demand and capacity planning aligned to customer growth.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry and long‑cycle commercial models.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex strategic accounts.
  • Proven ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional, multi‑site teams in matrixed organizations.
  • Technical foundation enabling credible engagement with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Executive presence, sound judgment, and strong negotiation skills.
Experience
  • 10+ years of semiconductor sales, strategic account management, or business development experience.
  • Proven success managing and growing relationships with major semiconductor customers.
  • Experience leading long‑cycle, high‑value engagements in global environments.
  • Experience introducing new customers or scaling strategic accounts preferred.
  • Background in advanced manufacturing, photomasks, semiconductors, or adjacent technologies preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced technical or business degree preferred.
