About the Opportunity
White Cap’s Account Manager role is focused on building relationships and growing mid‑size accounts within the professional contracting market. The position is available immediately and involves both field and office activities.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and key stakeholders to increase sales and profitability.
- Generate viable sales leads through market and account research, sales events, networking, vendor events, and use of computer programs.
- Contact assigned and prospective accounts to secure new business and execute profitable business plans.
- Collaborate with sales and corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
- Achieve assigned sales quota, part margin, and controllable expense objectives.
- Resolve customer and service related issues by interacting with customers, vendors, and associates.
- Maintain a current and competent base of product knowledge and apply that knowledge when servicing customers.
- Submit required sales administration reports and regularly attend company meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Generally 2–5 years of experience in outside sales to professional contractors.
- Preferred: prior experience in outside sales to professional contractors; familiarity with our products and services;
Spanish language proficiency. - Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and used a company or personal vehicle >20% of the work week.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Competitive base salary starting at approximately $100,000 per year plus variable compensation based on commission.
