Director of Business Development

We are a fast growing Insur Tech focusing on automation of Agency operations. We are looking for an experienced Business Development leader with a proven track record of selling Software or Services to Small to Mid Size P&C Insurance Agencies.

The candidate should bring deep experience in the P&C Insurance sector and understand dynamics of the Insurance Agency market. They will play a key role in defining the Go To Market Strategy and execute the sales and marketing game plan.

We expect the person to be highly ambitious and self managed and be able to close sales on their own. Over time more sales staff will be added, but to start this will be a solo contributor role backed by a strong set of Customer Success, Marketing, Technology and Operations team members.

To be successful you MUST have in depth knowledge of the P&C Agency segment and understand how agency operations run. Please do NOT apply if you do not have deep experience in the segment.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategy for the Independent Agency segment
• Work with the marketing agency to execute a targeted marketing campaign
• Manage sales functions of the business
• Provide feedback to company leadership on sales related topics
• Attend various conferences and events

Qualifications

• At least 5 - 7 years in the P&C Insurance industry
• Deep understanding of the Independent Agency ecosystem
• Good existing market knowledge and contacts in the industry
• Knowledge of key conference, events and other marketing channels relevant to the segment
• Demonstrated track record of closing sales independently and driving growth
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
