Account Manager – Civilian Government Law Enforcement
Forcepoint is seeking an experienced, high‑energy Account Manager with a proven record of selling Network and Data Security solutions to U.S. Civilian Government Law Enforcement Agencies. The role focuses on our Network Edge and Data Security portfolio.
Essential Functions- Develop and execute sales strategies, identify leads, qualify opportunities, and close business.
- Gain deep understanding of customers’ business priorities and challenges; propose tailored Forcepoint solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Product Management to create proposals, quotes, and share market insights.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, distributors, resellers, and VARs to grow the Edge portfolio.
- Lead sales presentations at reseller and end‑user locations.
- Coordinate sales enablement with field sales representatives and managers.
- Formulate New Business strategies and implement tactical plans to exceed sales quotas.
- Analyze customer needs and position Forcepoint Network Edge products and professional services competitively.
- Monitor and assess competitive offerings and market strategies.
- Serve as liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth product and service delivery.
- Deliver compelling business‑value product demonstrations of Edge solutions to technical, architectural, administrative, and executive audiences.
- Understand customers’ network architectures and promote innovative design approaches.
- Organize and lead regional Meetups and User Groups.
- Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities that reflects the capacity to meet and exceed quarterly sales goals.
- Perform up to 50% travel as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5+ years attaining or exceeding quoted goals in Network and Data Security.
- Experience selling network‑infrastructure security appliances (Firewalls, DLP, Web Security Proxies).
- Knowledge of routing and switching.
- Confidence in public speaking and experience presenting to C‑Level audiences.
- Strong professional network with partners and system integrators.
- Creative sales thinking and a strong commitment to the customer mission.
- Experience creating, building, and executing sales plays.
- Prior role as a sales specialist, strategist, or sales overlay.
- Excellent white‑boarding skills.
- Active TS clearance preferred but not required.
Salary range: $187,000 – $275,000, plus variable compensation. Additional rewards include bonuses, paid time off, and region‑specific benefits.
