Job Summary
The MRO Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales for Jet Aircraft Maintenance and related services. The role involves developing a sales plan to acquire new customers or upsell to existing ones, sourcing prospects via Jet Net, Salesforce, and other channels.
Responsibilities- Sell maintenance services, modifications, upgrades, and mandatory equipment installations to business jet operators.
- Collaborate with Avionics & Interior Sales to identify cross‑selling opportunities and ensure coordinated communication with Western Aircraft customers.
- Identify prospects in key markets using Salesforce, Jet Net, market data, and team input.
- Assist customers in determining the best maintenance solutions for their aircraft and preferences.
- Research and quote parts, labor, and outside services for maintenance projects within Western’s product offering and airframes.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to maximize revenue and contribution margin while remaining competitive.
- Work with Engineering to ensure accurate quotes and availability of capabilities for projects.
- Maintain high customer service standards by responding quickly to inquiries and post‑sale follow‑up.
- Participate in trade shows and follow up with contacts and prospects.
- Summarize quarterly results and expectations to direct manager.
- Organize sales trips, set objectives, and coordinate with Avionics or Interior Sales.
- Attend scheduling and sales meetings and provide input for process improvement.
- Interact positively with partner vendors to understand product details and sales opportunities.
- Perform market analysis on target airframe markets and assist in developing sales strategies.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in aviation services sales or management.
- Maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul background with corporate aircraft focus.
- Working knowledge of business aviation maintenance, manufacturers, and marketplace.
- Proficiency or ability to learn CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and the ability to create spreadsheets, quotes, and reports.
- Experience using Corridor to build and edit quotes.
- Experience interpreting maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical directives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or aviation-related study strongly preferred, or four years of equivalent experience in general aviation.
- Preferred technical aviation experience or A&P certification.
- Qualified candidates must be based in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones, preferably near a large city or airport with major airline service.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain an airport‑issued security badge.
- Valid driver’s license.
