Job Description
The Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) supports customers by providing clinical information on our Company’s vaccines, education, and resources. The VCR is the primary point of contact for health care providers, pharmacists, and office managers within the assigned geography, primarily covering San Bernardino, California. The role is field‑based, collaborating with field‑based colleagues such as the Vaccine Key Customer Leader (VKCL), Vaccine Medical Affairs Leader (VMAL), and Region Medical Director (RMD).
PrimaryActivities
- Engage in balanced product sales presentations to align customer needs with the Company’s vaccine attributes and CDC or professional society recommendations.
- Provide updates to Company Vaccine management on customer needs related to patient health outcomes, feedback, marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of professional and health‑care environment information through self‑study, product workshops, conferences, and review of promotional materials.
- Use analytical skills and tools to conduct quarterly business reviews with customers, educating them on maximizing contract performance across the portfolio.
- Assist customers in improving organization immunization rates through quality‑based programs and tools such as Vaccine IQ.
- Monitor business performance against objectives using company‑provided tools.
- Develop a territory‑level business plan focused on improving immunization rates with assigned customers in accordance with Company policies, standards, and ethics.
- Maintain product knowledge and certification on the entire vaccine portfolio, including the CDC immunization schedule for pediatric and adult vaccines.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0‑3 years of sales experience, or at least 4 years of relevant work experience if you have a high school diploma (e.g., professional sales, marketing, military, or health‑care/scientific field).
- Demonstrated aptitude to excel in educational or professional roles.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to convey technical concepts accurately and clearly.
- Experience in a technical, scientific, or health‑care environment.
- Prior sales, account management, consultative, or customer service experience.
- Experience developing and executing a plan for engaging customers and meeting customer needs.
- Understanding of marketing/sales functions or support operations.
- Ability to analyze metrics to assess progress against objectives.
- Experience with vaccines.
Salary Range: $79,200.00 – $ (based on education, qualifications, experience, and location)
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
