Security Officer - Visitor Registration

As a Security Officer - Visitor Registration in BOISE, , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will help monitor access points, verify credentials, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role includes routine patrols, a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and exceptional customer service and communication.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Daytime Tuesday through Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify access control concerns, suspicious activity, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
