Security Officer - Access Verification

As a Security Officer - F/T Access Verification in BOISE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, and support daily access control operations. This role combines a visible presence, routine patrols, and strong customer service to help promote a smooth, professional environment.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon–Sun: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and security‑related policies for a technology‑focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check‑in processes, and report irregular access activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entrances, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized access and support order throughout the location.
• Document daily activity, access‑related events, and/or unusual conditions with clear and accurate reporting for Allied Universal and site leadership review.

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
