Job Summary
The Avionics Systems Installer is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the avionics and electrical systems in various aircraft. These tasks include the removal and installation of avionics components and fabrication and installation of wiring harnesses.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform installations, modifications, and integration of various avionics systems and associated equipment in accordance with OEM installation manuals, drawings, and other approved data
- Build, route, and terminate wire harnesses in accordance with supplied data
- Ensure proper care of customer property through all phases of work
- Accurately complete required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
- Continually keep the work area clean and organized, including personal toolbox
- Meet or beat flat rates for assigned tasks
- Understand and follow safety procedures, and utilize support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
- Responsible for completing training syllabus for advancement to next level
- Perform other duties as directed
Job Requirements
- Must possess the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Owns basic hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
