Main Responsibilities- Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Performing preventative maintenance repairs (e.g., replacing or rotating tires), lubrication and replacement of vehicle components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

- Strong, well-rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske’s Technician Certification Program is certified as a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider)
- Advanced vehicle maintenance technology

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and outside
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to understand and follow Penske management guidelines
- Must comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool, PPE use and safety practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
- For driving Penske and customer vehicles, a current driver qualification file is required (annual MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety History records from prior employers in the last 3 years). CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screen within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule, travel for training as needed, and pass required background checks and drug screening
Note:
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety is required and associates must take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

- Work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
- See and hear adequately to navigate the work environment
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); ability to push/pull heavy tires (>100 lbs) as needed
Pay: $23.00/hr
Schedule:
Tuesday–Thursday 3:30pm–12:00am;
Friday 12:00pm–8:30pm;
Saturday 7:00am–3:30pm
