, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our containers and facilities in top condition. This is an opportunity for a skilled, hands‑on professional who takes pride in quality work, values safety, and enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll Do
- Perform a wide range of repair tasks using hand and power tools with minimal to no supervision
- Complete general carpentry repairs, painting, caulking, cutting, and cosmetic container repairs
- Operate forklifts safely (we’ll certify you if you’re not already certified)
- Operate standard shop equipment and perform all required cutting operations safely
- Pressure wash and clean containers
- Safely rig and lift materials as part of repair work
- Move materials using hand carts and assist with staging and organization
- Follow repair instructions and technical guidance while exercising sound judgment in execution
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, inside and out
- May travel to other local storage centers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1‑3 years of experience in construction, building trades, assembly work, or a related hands‑on field
- Proven experience using hand and power tools independently
- Ability to read and understand English in compliance with OSHA safety requirements
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to become forklift certified and safely operate material‑handling equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- A safety‑first mindset and attention to detail
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Solid work ethic—regular attendance and punctuality are essential
- Work in a warehouse/repair center that feels the seasons (non‑climate controlled)
- Stand, walk, kneel, and crouch—sometimes working above head level or on a ladder
- Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Work a flexible schedule that may include Saturdays and overtime when the business is booming

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes incentives, benefits, and other opportunities accordance with New York, Colorado, California, Washington and other applicable laws, PODS is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is listed below. Pay Rate: $20/hr
