Job DescriptionThe Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or lead a small team of apprentices. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety‑conscious, and capable of interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes
- Lead small crews and oversee apprentice electricians when needed
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Current and valid Journeyman Electrician license in the State of Idaho
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the electrical trade
- Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, testers, and meters
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
