About this role
Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician – a field role focused on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems while ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems for efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.
- Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines.
- Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps.
- Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems.
- Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design.
- Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records.
- Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards.
- 5+ years of practical HVAC experience.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical fitness: stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage as required by Carrier.
- Basic understanding of building automation controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Salesforce and Service Max.

$24.00 – $48.00 per hour, based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
