The Service Technician performs superior quality repairs on customer equipment and recommends additional services as needed, ensuring the highest level of workmanship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive repair order assignments from the Shop Foreman.
- Follow instructions and execute work assignments thoroughly and efficiently.
- Maintain superior workmanship standards on all services performed.
- Advise the Shop Foreman of any recommended changes or additional services for the customer.
- Communicate recommendations for further repairs or servicing to the Shop Foreman.
- Maintain training and experience with specialized equipment, machinery, and servicing techniques required for customer equipment.
- Attend training sessions as required by the Service Manager.
- Perform additional repairs when equipment is returned due to faulty workmanship.
- Maintain accurate work‑order records of work performed and time logged.
Minimum 2–3 years of medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance experience. Outstanding mechanical aptitude and skills for top results. Driver’s license with a clean driving record. Personal motivation, self‑reliance, and manual dexterity. Ability to operate power and hand tools safely. Excellent organization and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information.
WORKINGCONDITIONS
Physical demands include standing 6–8 hours per shift, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Use of hand and power tools, hoists, and test equipment. Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
