An Excavator Operator at IGT is responsible for operating an excavator for mainline trenching. The equipment must be maneuvered safely and carefully around people and objects.
Duties /Description:
- Operation of a variety of equipment suitable for the project
- Perform site inspections to determine locations of extractions
- Comply with federal, state, and local codes and ordinances, including OSHA standards and rules
- Support laborers as needed (physical tasks may be required outside of equipment operation)
- Ensure on‑site equipment is maintained properly
- Be self‑starter and able to work long hours
- Read and understand blueprints and grading plans
$25 - $30
Qualifications /Experience:
- Driver's license: required (Class CDL A preferred)
- Construction experience: 4 years (preferred)
- Operating experience: 4 years (preferred)
8 - 10‑hour shifts Monday through Friday (some Saturdays may be required)
OfficeHours:
Mon - Fri 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
