Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

  • Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm
  • Pay Rate: $28+/hr DOE
  • Location: Boise,
  • Position Type: Full Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures, including PPE requirements, Lockout/Tagout, JHA/JSA's, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze issues, and respond to alarms to identify and resolve mechanical and system-related problems promptly.
  • Collaborate with technicians, leaders, and stakeholders to communicate priorities, provide status updates, support improvement initiatives, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Support equipment installations, modifications, and facility projects while following established change management and maintenance processes.
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time while driving continuous improvement, cost savings, and equipment reliability.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical field.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, basic math abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferences
  • Relevant degree, appropriate certification, or licenses.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5 miles per day, be on feet for 8‑10 hours at a time, bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights on a ladder, and lift up to 50‑75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
