Description

Atlas is currently looking for brick masons to work in Boise,  approximately 1 month, possibly longer, to complete a new construction buildout. A brick mason constructs, repairs, and restores structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural or artificial stones
. They are responsible for reading blueprints, mixing mortar, laying materials to exact alignment, and finishing joints to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to determine layout, dimensions, and material requirements.
  • Preparation & Mixing: Prepare work areas, erect scaffolding, and mix mortar or grout to the correct consistency.
  • Laying & Aligning: Lay bricks and blocks in specified patterns, using levels and plumb lines to ensure the structure is perfectly straight and level.
  • Cutting & Shaping: Use hammers, chisels, or power saws to cut bricks and blocks to fit specific corners, curves, and edges.
  • Repair & Maintenance: Perform restoration work on existing structures, including replacing damaged bricks and applying fresh mortar (tuck pointing).
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and general construction safety protocols.


*** Pay will be $30 per hour

*** $100 day per diem. (must live greater than 50 miles from facility in Boise, .)


*** Transportation & lodging will be the responsibility of the applicant.


*** Must have 1-year previous experience.

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel for an extended period of time
  • Ability to work from various heights
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift over 50 lbs, and stand, bend, or squat for extended periods.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong mathematical skills to calculate angles, dimensions, and material costs.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Precision in handling trowels, applying smooth, even layers of mortar, and setting materials seamlessly.
