About the ProgramSalute is seeking transitioning Active Duty Service Members who are eligible to participate in the Department of War (DoW) Skill Bridge Program. This requisition serves as a general application for multiple Skill Bridge internship opportunities across our U.S. operations.
Participants receive structured, mentor‑led training, Salute University coursework, hands‑on operational experience, and professional development designed to prepare them for long‑term careers in the mission‑critical data center industry.
Available Skill Bridge Training Programs Data Center Cleaning Technician (Day Porter) – Entry LevelNo prior data center experience is required. Participants learn specialized technical cleaning procedures, contamination control, safety practices, and facility support operations that help maintain mission‑critical environments.
Best suited for: Candidates interested in facilities support, operations, and beginning a career in the data center industry.
Data Center Security Officer – Entry LevelLearn physical security operations, access control, visitor management, CCTV monitoring, alarm response, emergency procedures, and customer service within mission‑critical data centers.
Best suited for: Candidates with military security, force protection, law enforcement, or customer service backgrounds.
Data Center Technician (DCT) – Entry LevelLearn rack and stack, server deployments, structured cabling, inventory management, hardware installation, and remote hands support within enterprise data centers.
Best suited for: Candidates interested in IT, electronics, networking, communications, logistics, or technical military specialties.
Data Center Facilities Technician (MSO) – Entry to Mid LevelDevelop skills supporting daily facility operations through equipment inspections, facility rounds, alarm monitoring, preventive maintenance, documentation, and operational support.
Best suited for: Candidates with mechanical aptitude or experience in maintenance, utilities, HVAC, industrial systems, or similar technical military occupations.
Critical Facilities Engineer I (CFE I) – Entry to Mid LevelLearn to safely operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission‑critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure while developing the technical foundation required for a career in critical facilities.
Best suited for: Candidates with foundational experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, power generation, or similar technical military specialties.
Critical Facilities Engineer II (CFE II) – Mid LevelBuild advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and critical infrastructure operations skills while expanding knowledge of mission‑critical electrical and mechanical systems.
Best suited for: Candidates with intermediate experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, engineering, utilities, or similar technical military occupations.
Data Center Facilities Engineer (DCO) – Mid to Senior LevelDevelop advanced knowledge of facility operations, monitoring systems, preventive maintenance, commissioning support, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, and operational reliability.
Best suited for: Candidates with experience in facilities operations, engineering, industrial maintenance, utilities, HVAC, or mission‑critical technical environments.
