Job Summary
Micron’s Facilities Team is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support operations at our state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. Responsibilities- Operate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for facilities performance monitoring.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.
- Interpret P& and one‑line diagrams to troubleshoot system faults and alarms.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on complex facility equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and respond to system alarms and abnormal conditions, promptly addressing system failures to efficiently restore equipment functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, and calibrations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), alternating between day and night shifts every 4 months.
- Valid Electrical Journeyman License.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferably in a semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
