Position: Fiber Travel Technician

Grid Source is seeking Fully Qualified I&R Fiber Travel Technicians to join our team!

Up to $1,500 for Technician Referrals!

What you’ll do:

Perform residential fiber installations
Observe all safety rules and regulations
Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested
Convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to customers
Be accountable and dependable (on time, on load when scheduled, and serve on call as needed)
Ask relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
Assume all other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting tools, equipment, and a 28‑foot ladder (ladder rack preferred)
Own tools (drills and standard telecommunications hand tools), an Android smartphone, and a Windows 10 laptop
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): lace‑up boots with a defined 1/2‑inch heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, fall resistor, and safety cones (other equipment may be required by local management)
Comfortable working at heights no greater than 25 feet and safely moving and lifting up to 80 lb
Willingness to work varying shifts and hours, including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays
Successful background check, drug test, and clean driving record
