As an HVAC Installer Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced installation technicians learning how to install residential heating and air conditioning systems. Through hands-on training, you'll develop the skills needed to become a professional HVAC Installer while gaining valuable field experience on a variety of residential projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent trade school graduates or mechanically inclined individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in the HVAC industry.
What You'll Do- Assist with the installation of residential heating and air conditioning systems
- Help remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment
- Learn proper installation techniques for ductwork, refrigerant lines, thermostats, and ventilation components
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment
- Load materials, organize job sites, and maintain company vehicles
- Follow installation specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean and professional work area at every job site
- Deliver courteous, professional customer service while working in customers' homes
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Mechanical aptitude with an interest in working with tools and equipment
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working on ladders and in physically demanding environments
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- HVAC trade school enrollment or completion
- EPA Universal Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Previous construction, mechanical, warehouse, or general labor experience
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Desire to build a long-term career in residential HVAC installation
